How fun that we got to attend Hunter's baptism. It was nice that they all came to Utah, just so we could be there. He was excited and very cute. And of course it was fun to see Alissa, her family and my sweetie-pie sister Arlene, as well as her husband Duff. Of course holding a new baby is always fun. . .

My gratitude corner

I'm so grateful for a boy who wants to go on a mission. Right now he is just dying while waiting for the Stake President to call him in for the last interview and to "push the button" to send his papers on. And it's General Conference this next weekend, so he probably won't hear anything for another week. Oh well, it just keeps getting pushed further. But Taylor is excited to go, and I'm so proud of him.
My neighbor. We needed a roof inspector in order to close a loan. I didn't know where to go and my neighbor walked across the street and said, hey I saw your husband on the roof. I'm a roofer. I want to help him. He wasn't licensed, but his boss was. The neighbor helped, the boss came, trusted the neighbor completely--didn't even charge us. Wow. I think I need to be a better neighbor.
I am grateful for so many people who have shown love and concern for me and my family during a difficult time. Losing one grandfather is tough--losing two within two months is almost numbing. Thank you.
I am grateful for my mother who has taken care of my dad for the past four years. She has never once complained. Sometimes she is overwhelmed and cries a little, but she doesn't feel sorry for herself. She is a strong, caring, tender woman who is a wonderful example to all of us.
I am grateful for doctors. My mom has been sick for the last three months and is doing better. I'm grateful for her.
I'm grateful I got to be a missionary in Italy.
I'm grateful for the scriptures. I'm reading in Alma about the missionary work and how happy they were to share the gospel with the Lamanites.
I'm so grateful for my sweetheart and very best friend in the world--Corky. I can't imagine life with him.
Today I'm grateful for friends who care for me even when I'm not totally fun to be with.
